Lemon Iced Tea Concentrate with NEOH ZERO+

Summer to Drink - Make Lemon Iced Tea Yourself

The sun is shining, temperatures are rising, and after just a few minutes outside, you’re dreaming of a plunge into cold water. What helps now? Ice cubes, shade, the sea, or even better, a homemade lemon iced tea.

Refreshing, fruity, and just the right mix of sweet and sour. And the best part? YOU decide what goes in it.

While many ready-made iced teas contain lots of sugar, we rely on NEOH ZERO + and its benefits. Because why overload yourself with sugar when there’s another way.

Why Lemon Iced Tea with NEOH ZERO+?

Many classic iced tea concentrates are made with large amounts of sugar. It’s not just about sweetness but also the typical syrup base. With NEOH ZERO+, we show that summer refreshment can work differently. 🍋☀️

Ingredients for about 1L concentrate

  • 1 liter water
  • 40 g black tea – about 12-15 tea bags
  • 5 - 6 lemons – preferably use untreated lemons, as we use the aromatic peel to get the most out of the lemon.
  • 120 - 160 g NEOH ZERO+
  • 1 tsp citric acid

It’s that easy:

1. Brew the tea

Bring water to a boil and add the black tea. Let it steep for about 8-10 minutes – for more flavor, steep a bit longer.

2. Add lemons

Strain the black tea or remove the tea bags. Peel the lemon zest with a peeler. Then squeeze all the lemons and add the juice along with the peel to the tea. Stir well and let it steep briefly.

3. Add citric acid

Stir in the citric acid and mix well. It provides the typical freshness and rounds out the flavor.

4. Add NEOH ZERO+

While the mixture is still warm, stir in NEOH ZERO+ and mix well – start slowly, you can always sweeten more, but you can’t take it back. 😄🍋

5. Let cool

Now be patient for a moment. While the concentrate cools, the lemon peels can release even more aroma into the tea. Then strain everything through a fine sieve and pour into a clean bottle. Store in the fridge and have it ready for your next refreshment. 😎🍋🧊

How to make iced tea from it

For a large glass (about 300-400ml):

  • 100 ml lemon iced tea concentrate
  • 200 - 300 ml cold water
  • Ice cubes

For a 1-liter carafe:

  • 250 ml lemon iced tea concentrate
  • 750 ml cold water
  • Ice cubes

Optional: lemon slices and mint

You can adjust the ratio of concentrate to water individually depending on the desired intensity.

Conclusion

Sometimes it doesn’t take much. A few lemons, some tea, ice cubes, and the right sweetness. This lemon iced tea concentrate shows how simple refreshment can be.
Fruity. Ice cold. Homemade.
Just right for all those days when the sun is working overtime. ☀️🍋😎
